Your career roadmap
The realistic four-step path most successful UK candidates follow. Each step builds on the previous one — no shortcuts, but no fluff either.
- Step 1
Get the foundation cert
APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) is the cleanest entry-level certification — friendly to career changers with no prior PM experience.
- Step 2
Add PRINCE2 Foundation
PRINCE2 is by far the most-requested PM certification in UK adverts. Foundation alone moves you onto most Project Coordinator shortlists.
- Step 3
Land a Project Coordinator / PMO role
Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst and Junior Project Manager are the realistic first roles after qualifying.
- Step 4
Move into PM proper
PRINCE2 Practitioner, then AgilePM if you’re moving into agile / digital delivery.
