A job programme is a structured pathway rather than a single course. You take several courses in a set order, gain the certifications UK employers actually name in job adverts, and get recruitment support at the end to turn that into an application that works.

How to choose, honestly
Four questions that narrow it down faster than a brochure will.
- Do you have any technical background at all?If no, IT Support is the genuine entry point and the cheapest way in. It also leads on to everything else, so nothing is wasted if you specialise later.
- Do you have strong knowledge of an industry from a previous career?Then data suits you unusually well. Employers hire analysts to understand their business as much as their tools, so finance, retail, healthcare or logistics experience is an asset rather than a gap.
- Do you already coordinate work, manage budgets or deliver to deadlines?Project management formalises experience you already have. If you have none of that, this is not the route in, and we will say so on the phone rather than take the enrolment.
- Are you willing to take a support role first?Cyber security pays best long term, and for most career changers it is realistically reached through IT support rather than directly. Providers who tell you otherwise are selling a shortcut that mostly does not exist.

What every programme includes
Certifications awarded by the body, not by us
CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, EC-Council, (ISC)², PeopleCert and APMG. Examinations are sat with the awarding body or an approved test centre, so your result is independent of our involvement and worth the same as it would be from anyone else.
A dedicated mentor
Your main point of contact throughout, by phone, email and video call. Which order to take courses in, when you are ready to sit an exam, and whether the role you are aiming at is realistic from where you are standing.
Study around work
Online and self paced, with 12 months of access. Most people finish in three to nine months. No classroom dates, no travel, no time off the rota.
Recruitment support
Once your exams are passed: professional CV review, LinkedIn guidance, interview preparation and help applying consistently. Full conditions in clause 12 of our terms.

Common questions
What is a job programme, and how is it different from a single course?
A single course teaches one subject and leads to one certification. A job programme is a structured pathway of multiple courses taken in order, with the certifications employers actually ask for, plus mentor support while you study and recruitment support once you have passed. The difference matters because a certification on its own does not get most career changers hired. Knowing which order to take things in, and having someone help you present it properly afterwards, is what does.

Do I need any experience to start a job programme?
The IT Support and Cyber Security programmes start with foundational learning. You can also discuss project management study without previous project employment: experience coordinating work can help, and an advisor can explain suitable entry roles and prerequisites before you enrol.
How long does a job programme take to complete?
Course access runs for 12 months and most people finish in three to nine months, depending on the hours they can commit each week. Study is self paced and online, so it fits around shift patterns, existing work and family rather than requiring you to take time off.
How much do the job programmes cost, and can I pay monthly?
Programmes run from £1,095 for IT Support up to £2,999 for AI and Data. Every price includes course materials, mentor support, examination vouchers where stated and recruitment support. There is no separate registration fee. You can pay in full or spread the cost monthly, with longer term credit arranged through Social Money Ltd trading as Dopple, authorised and regulated by the FCA and subject to status and affordability checks. You may be declined.
Which certifications will I actually get?
Training modules and included exams are different. IT Support includes the two A+ exams. The commercial Cyber Security programme includes SC-900, Security+ and CySA+. Project Management includes PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner exams; the separate Agile programme includes Agile Foundation and Practitioner exams. Certifications depend on passing the relevant assessments. Check the programme page for the complete package.
What salary can I realistically expect afterwards?
National Careers Service ranges, checked 8 September 2026, are £24,000–£36,000 for IT support technicians, £35,000–£76,000 for IT security co-ordinators and £29,000–£75,000 for business project managers. These run from starter to experienced and are not averages or a promise of graduate earnings.
Which programme should I choose?
Start from where you are rather than from what pays most. If you have no technical background, IT Support is the genuine entry point and the cheapest way in. Can I use ELCAS or Enhanced Learning Credits?
Yes, if you are a Service leaver or eligible serving member of the Armed Forces. Course2Career is an ELCAS approved provider, number 14012, and Enhanced Learning Credits can be used towards IT and cyber security training. Are the programmes delivered online?
Yes, all of them. Course materials and video lectures are available on any device, 24 hours a day, so you study around work rather than taking time off. Examinations are sat with the awarding body or an approved test centre, never with us, so your result is independent of our involvement.
